As amazing as it may seem doing a routine chore was actually fun, how so you ask? The heat in our house has not been working properly this entire weekend, a weekend that was much colder than normal. Not only did the heat not work, it only blew COLD air. During the "hottest" part of the day the thermostat read 54F.

So how does this make a chore fun? Folding up my laundry was one of the highlights of my day amazing as it may seem. Straight out of the dryer the clothes were oh so warm. I had to resist the huge urge to just pile them on the bed and lie under them ... man they were warm ^^;;

In doing the laundry I have come up with another brilliant idea. Stick some blankets in the dryer before going to bed and sleeping under those, damn I'm smart ;-)

Cable is now installed in the house. Is it blistering fast? No, 100k is a decent guess at average speed. Is it faster than dialup? Hell yes! That's all that really matters. If you know me I will be setting up something soon so that you can get whatever files I deem sharable so contact me if you wanna get the goods. ;)

Ho hum ... another post about me being bored. Hopefully that will all change tomorrow when I get cable, then again I was supposed to get it LAST monday so I'm not getting my hopes up to high. How bored am I? Well yesterday I shaved nearly all my hair off because, well, it was something to do. Today I cleaned my floor for the same reason.

I still have yet to find a site that has a layout that is inspiring in some way. The few that I have come across that are interesting tend to use flash, which I don't want to use/learn. I just need something to get the creative juices flowing ~_~

After trying to work on a Java assignment only to find out the code doesn't do what the instructor says it does I decided to turn my efforts into coding a new design for the site. First I tried to find something cool in CSS only to find this. Only later to discover that text effect looks like butt when scaled down to smaller fonts. Next I tried random links from waferbaby's hussy. Amusing things I found along the way:

# After smacking the hussy around for a good hour or two occasionally she acts up, timing out or giving me the same "random" link twice in a row. In such an event simply smack her around some more.

I have yet to find a design that was inspiring enough to change the layout, but I'm sure I'll mess around with it some later.

So I'm finally able to get broadband in the form of cable. The technician comes today, on time no less. He's going about his business and comes back in telling me that he can't do it o_O

Of course there is a filter on the only tall pole in the neighborhood. Of course he only has a 25 foot ladder. Of course he has to schedule a bucket truck to come out on another day. Of course I don't get cable.

I've come to the conclusion the world is against me. I'm late for class, traffic is horrendous. I finally get cable, tech can't reach a stupid ass filter on the pole.

I'd hope so because I've been paying suprisingly less attention to this site than past school years, go figure. In other news I got a Discover Platinum that has nearly 40X the credit limit of my previous crappy "student" Visa ... I can almost buy a brand new Geo Storm with it, huzzah! Ok, maybe not ... but it's close ;)

I'm also strongly considering getting the new and improved version of this case. The nearly $300 price tag has me a bit reluctant, that and it will just barely fit in the cubby my current case occupies. It's oh so cool though, looking and cooling-wise. Nothing beats watercooling your computer except not having to make it all yourself =D
