I'm off on my quest to copy some movies for a friend when I realize that I have no software to do so. I've happily been using the built-in XP CD burning thus far. I check out Roxio's website and find that Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum does work for XP. So far so good.

I'm following the instructions, rebooting a million times then I get to the part where it says upgrade the version. I run the updater, it complains that my Windows temp dir is full ... hrmmm. I give up on trying to upgrade the version and try to copy a CD. The copy goes rediciously slow. Come to find out that my Kenwood 52X is in PIO mode instead of DMA.

I can't fix that problem so I decide the Roxio software is worthless and uninstall it. In doing so Windows decides that my Plextor CD-RW is now just a regular drive. Nothing fixes this ... then inspiration hits.

System Restore! I had my doubts on this actually working but nothing else was, so I give it a shot. Low and behold it actually worked! Plextor is working again and Easy CD Creator is gone. System Restore roxor my boxor that's for sure ;D

Just came inside from laying on the hammock watching what the local news touted as a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to watch a meteor storm.

Boy were they wrong o.O

Beside the fact that it was colder than a witches tittie outside ... it definetely was not what I had in mind when I went out there at 5AM. I'm thinking fireworks, tons of light, etc. When in reality the meteors are so fast you merely catch one out of the corner of your eye and see the trail fading away. I don't think I saw 2 at the same time anymore than a few times. You really have no idea how big the sky is until you go out outside and try to look for something, it's impossible to look at it all at one time. You can only focus on a portion of it and hope that something happens there.

Oh well, I bet the astronomer types were creamin in their pants the whole time.

I think it's pretty obvious where I get them from, they're all used heavily throughout anime, which I watch a lot. This particular one is called Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou if you were curious. Also on battle.net where I play Diablo there are a bunch of koreans that play, they don't use =| instead you'll see --;;

You can't tell me you don't want one of these ... of course you do. I just wonder if it is as good as it seems. It would be extremely cool for anyone with anything more than a pile of CDs, me included.

While miserably bombing a 111 History test yesterday, a mother fucking 100 level class o_O today I get an application to apply to "The National Leadership Honor Society" at my school.

Do the folks at Omicron Delta Kappa not do any reviews before sending this stuff out? Otherwise they would know that I meet next to none of the requirements. Leadership? Nope. Journalism? Nope. Outstanding achievements in atlethics? BAHAHAHAHAHAHA *sniff* Nope.

I just love the fact that I bomb a 100 level class test while at the same time get invited into the honor society of my school. Either I'm a complete moron or that class is to hard T.T
