After having my computer off for about a day or so to make repairs to my heater core which had sprung a slow leak o.O I've come to notice how loud one of my hard drives is. Which is somewhat odd since they're both basically the same drive. The only difference is one is retail the other is OEM, and oddly enough it's the retail one that is loud.

Once the PlexCombo comes out I'm gonna get a new hard drive. This time I think I will go with a Seagate Barracuda IV instead of IBM which is what I've been using up until now. The general consensus seems to be that these are the quietest drives out.

Well I had every intention of finishing up my Data Structures project today but it turns out that the schools network is down.

I really hate this project, not because it's hard or stupid, but because how we have to go about doing it. First she doesn't give us all the details of the problem. We have to simulate a baseball season with 2 teams, ie trade players around. She gave us a few formulas but that was about it. No details on what would be in the input files, how she wants us to document it, etc. Turns out that's all we're going to be turning in for the first part ... documentation.

This is basically completely backwards from how I program. First I break the problem up into smaller ones, which is normal so far. Then I code everything up, no stupid stub programs, no diagrams, no data dictionaries. After I'm done coding I document the program. How am I supposed to define a data dictionary when I have no code, therefore no variables? Seems bassackwards to me -_-"
Damn ... I have been bested by the Tony's Dozen at Castaldi's

I really thought I could eat them all, but after I finished my 8th one I came to the point that if I ate anymore I wouldn't have enough for a good sandwich tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I could have eaten a few more, but not finish them all. So instead of gorging myself on a few more meatballs I saved them for a sandwich and ate some chocolate cheesecake.

All this in an attempt at some free Red Beans & Rice o.O

I just finished watching Eyes Wide Shut. Have you ever seen something and not quite know what to make of it? This is one of those things. I liked the movie and at the same time I didn't.

It's a bit slow at some points but has very good twists in it. Has lots of nekkid hotties in it, which is always a plus ;) but I still have that odd feeling of not knowing what to make of it.

Anyhoo, I'm going to bed, got work tomorrow ... bling bling

This morning before I left to go to work I decided to leave my window open so my room wouldn't be so hot, also to see how that effected the temps of my computer. Lo and behold the high today is going to be in the low 40's. Not looking forward to going home today T_T

I'd tell you what the temps are on my computer now but the lab is blocking Remote Desktop Connection ><

Don't have Popeye's Red Beans & Rice for brunch (I missed breakfast) -> follwed by homemade nachos for dinner -> followed by leftover nachos for breakfast the next day.

[Insert some stupid toilet joke here]

My monitor is on the fritz so today I went looking for a new one. Seeing as how I have to get a new monitor soon I figured might as well get a flat panel. After my trip to Best Buy I'm not really sure how this is going to work out.

A 15" flat panel is rediciously small. They are however the only ones that are at a remotely decent price, ~$350. Not to mention most of them looked like butt, I'm trying to replace my broke ass monitor, not replace it with something that looks just as bad -_-"

The only solution to that is get a bigger and better flat panel, therein lies the problem. They're hella expensive, at least $600. I don't really wanna shell out that much cash. Best Buy didn't even have the flat panel monitor I wanted to look at either :(
