Since late March the slapmahfro.net domain under bulkregistrar.com was expired. It took nearly a month for it to leave the whois database, luckily no one else got it, big suprise there huh :P

Anyhoo, all the projects and end of semester tests have been turned in and taken. Without fail any class that I did well on the first or middle test I did bad on the next test, must be something about getting comfortable knowing I had a good grade. However this means I need to get respectable scores on the finals next week :(

I'll be damned if there isn't anything to do now ... hopefully car plans will work out so I'll have something to play with this summer ;)

Just got home from a Lostprophets, Andrew WK, Aphex Theory concert. Missed the beginning part of Lostprophets, which as it turns out was really the only reason I went. We left after 2-3 songs from Andrew WK, they all sounded the same. Didn't even bother seeing Aphex Theory who was headlining o.O

Someone needs to teach that boy the rules of concerts. You DON'T play your singles, or single as the case may be, first. You either play them near the middle and walk off stage only to return or at the end of your set. Oddly enough the only other concert I left early from had the same timing, all the singles played first. Who was the genius who decided not to follow the concert rules? Why Kid Rock of course ... moron -_-"

I've been meaning to post more than I have recently but most of last week I was sick, which really isn't an excuse, but I'll use it anyway :P

As for the end of the semester crunch ... 2/3 papers are done, 75% complete with my baseball simulation program which is due at the beginning of next week, 0% done with my database project but that's not due for a few more weeks ;)

Just in from the mail today ... a check from York County for jury duty. $30 bling bling! Not bad for a few hours of "work" ;)

After using my new LCD monitor for a day or so now I can comment better on it's operation. First the bad things I've noticed. At the angle I usually sit at the top part of the screen is slightly darker than the lower part, not sure how to adjust it to fix it either. Also the screen is not perfectly centered in the case, meaning the gap between the pixels and bezel is greater on one side than the other if that makes any sense. Also as I mentioned in the last post scrolling and moving windows isn't so hot, but movies play just fine, weird. However I've managed to fix that, disable smooth scrolling and show window contents while dragging, all better now.

What does it do good then? First and foremost it displays text BEAUTIFULLY, it's really really REALLY nice looking. ClearType is the mother fuckin shit. Obviously it doesn't take up as much room or use as much power, which is nice if the power goes out, longer UPS running time. Also the auto-config is really handy. No worries when running games or what not, it finds the best color and position.

That's all I have to say about that.

Well it was somewhat forced, my old monitor completely dying and all, but I now have a nice 17" LCD monitor.

It's ... different than a CRT monitor that's for sure. I'm just glad to have a working monitor ;) The text is GREAT, moving windows around the screen really fast isn't. On the games front Diablo looks fine so I'm happy. I haven't gotten around to playing any fps type games but I'd imagine they'd only look so so. Good thing I don't play those very much ~_~

If you haven't seen Death To Smoochy yet you should go see it. The movie was pretty funny, and for once they didn't show all the funny parts in the previews ~_~

Can't think of any good April Fools pranks ... thank goodness I don't have to go to work tomorrow ... that would be suck.
